Putting a CD play disk in the CD player is a real pain in the arse. I can't
understand why the game manufacturers do not come up with a full
installation scenario that still protects them from pirating. The program
Alcohol 120% will clone a CD virtual drive excellently. I use it for GTA3
and GTA Vice City; so, I don't need to run the 'Play CD' (which is slower
and noisier). I would even opt for program activation instead of using a
'Play CDs'. Check your search engine for the program; there is a link to
what copy protection is used on many games at the Alcohol 120%. I paid by
credit card; I was a little dubious at first, but found the company did
answer email questions. The program is easy to run, and you get life time
upgrades. There is even a forum for support. Check out. A super
satisfied GTA player and consumer --- only because I don't have to use the
damn play disk anymore. GTA3 was the first video game I ever played, and
GTA Vice City is my second. Too bad Rockstar's "Manhunt" is getting such
poor reviews; I guess I won't purchase it when it comes out in PC version.
I hope Rockstar comes up with a GTA type game where there are no play disks,
and the game could be added to on a regular basis. Game add-ons would be
great; more missions and action additions would be a smart move by the
company. I can see where add-ons may not be practical because of the vast
graphic computing improvements yearly. We'll be playing 64 bit games soon
on PCs.

Post by Buford T. JusticeIs it possible to make a perfect backup copy of GTA Vice City for the PC
using CloneCD? I know there has to be some kind of protection on it but I
can't figure out what kind and how to use CloneCD to compensate for it. I
wish the game makers would just give you 2 copies. I hate it when I scratch
my originals.
Another neat thing is the CloneCD Virtual Drive. It would be nice to run
the image to where no CD is needed.
Thanks In Advance,
